Chole is also know as chana masala.

(Prep time- 15 to 30 minutes

Cooking time – 15 to 30 minutes

Serve – 4 to5 person)

Ingredients of recipe of chole /chana masala

  • Kabuli chana – 2 bowl (250 gram )
  • Tea bag – 1(for changing colour)
  • Baking soda – ½ tbps
  • Oil – 4 to 5tbps
  • Cumin seeds – ¾ tbps
  • Anar dana – ¾ tbps
  • Roasted cumin power – 1tbps
  • Tomato – 4 to 5
  • Onion – 2 to 3
  • Green chilli – 4 to 5
  • Ginger garlic paste – 3 tbps
  • Red chili powder – 1tbps
  • Coriander powder – 1 ½ tbps
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tbps
  • Garam masala – 1 tbps
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbps finely chopped

Making of chole/chana masala

Step1 of Recipe of chole bhature

Soak chana 8 to 10 hour in water. After soaking take cooker and 1 ½ glass water. For boiling chana put water, chana, salt (½ tbps), baking soda, tea bag in cooker. Close cooker and take 1 whistle on high flam and 2 whistle on low flam. Turn of flam and wait for steam comes out. Make tomato, onion green chilli, ginger, garlic paste in mixture.

Take a pan, put oil in pan heat it, tamper cumin seeds, anar dana. Put coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, roasted cumin powder in pan and roast all the masala. Than add tomato paste fry until oil start to float on the top of masala.

Add 1 glass water in masala and boil it. After boiling add chana and salt into masala curry and mix well. Put water as per requirement in curry. Cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add coriander leaves in it.

Chole / chana masala in ready. Serve hot with bhature.

  • Maida – 500 gram
  • Rawa( semolina) – 50 to 100 gram
  • Curd – 100 to 150 gram ( as required)
  • Salt – ½ tbps( as per taste)
  • Baking powder – ½ tbps
  • Sugar – ¼ tbps
  • Oil – for fry

Making of bhature

Step1 of Recipe of chole bhature

Take bowl put maida and rawa. Put some oil( 2 to 3 tbps), salt, sugar, baking powder, curd in maida. Mix all ingredients and put warm water as per required into maida. Make soft dough, And cover it with napkin. Put dough it warm place for 2 to 4 hours. After that dough is ready.

Step2 of Recipe of chole bhature

Take dough, make small- small ball, rolling all ball, now roll ball into a thick flat disc as per desired size.

Take a pan put oil and heat it.

Step3 of Recipe of chole bhature

Put bhature in heat oil, press it with ladle, fry it until it brown form both side. Take bhature out form pan, and put it on plate or paper napkin. Prepare all bhature form all balls in same manner. Bhature is ready serve hot bhature  with chole  masala.
